Doda, December 14, 2023 One-Day Induction-level training on Adolescence Education Programme for 100 School Nodal Officers of 50 High/Higher Secondary Schools of District Doda was held in the Conference Hall of Chief Education Office Doda on 14/12/2023. The Program was organised by Chief Education Office Doda in collaboration with the Directorate of School Education Jammu and J&K AIDS Control Society, Department of Health and Medical Education J&K. The Programme was inaugurated by Chief Education Officer Doda Sh. Purshotam Gouria in the presence of DEPO Doda Dr. Anis Ahmed, Dr.Shaveta Bhagat HOD GMC Doda, Dr. Saima Hafiz Clinical Psychologist GMC Doda, and Smt Simi Thakur I/C Drug De-addiction Center at DPL Doda. During the program the participants were sensitized about adolescence issues of the children, which included the process of growing up and socio-cultural ethos, changing perception about relationship with parents, peer groups and opposite sex, exploring life skills, gender and gender roles, Mental health and substance abuse, problems and challenges, HIV/AIDS prevention and transmission, myths and misconceptions. The program was conducted under the able guidance of Chief Education Officer Doda and in close supervision of District Education Planning Officer Doda. Sh. Ajit Singh Lecturer acted as Nodal Officer and Sh. Majid Anjum Programmer acted as Coordinator of the program. The program was concluded with the motion of thanks to the Guest Speakers of Health and Medical Education Department / Education Department by the District Education Planning Officer Doda.
